Class Description
Students are introduced to tap dancing for the first time! They will spend the first half of class learning tap basics then switch to ballet for the second half of the class period.

Class Description
This high-energy 9-week class offers an upbeat warm up, fun choreography, and movement games to hit songs of today! Although the class is divided into 2 sessions, students are signing up for both Fall & Spring upon registration.

Jazz/Tap/Ballet - Monday 3:45-5:05
Students will spend half of their class time working on their Jazz and Tap technique and the other half of the class on Ballet technique. They will do exercises, across the floor work, and choreography in all 3 disciplines.
Jazz/Tap - Wednesday 4:40-5:25
Students will spend half of their class time working on their Jazz technique and the other half working on their Tap technique. They will do exercises, across the floor work, and choreography in both disciplines.
Hip Hop - Wednesday 5:30-6:15
Students will learn a Hip Hop dance during the Fall session that will be performed in our Holiday Demonstration. They will learn a second routine in the spring for our end of year Recital. *Students must register for a full-year dance class in order to sign up for Hip Hop.

Jazz/Hip Hop/Pom - Monday 6:15-7:15
Students will combine jazz technique, such as leaps, turns, and extensions, with high-energy hip hop movements while using moms for visual appeal.
Jazz/Lyrical - Monday 7:15-8:15 or Tuesday 7:15-8:15
Students will work on Jazz and Lyrical dance technique and perform an upbeat jazz dance and a slow lyrical dance in the recital.
Jazz/Tap/Ballet Combo - Tuesday 3:15-4:45
Students will work on Jazz, Tap , and Ballet technique. They will do exercises, across the floor work, and choreography in all 3 disciplines.
Jazz/Tap - Tuesday 5:00-6:00
Students will work on Jazz and Tap technique by doing exercises, across the floor work, and choreography in both disciplines.
Hip Hop - Tuesday 6:10-7:10

Students will learn a Hip Hop dance performance piece during the Fall session as well as two performance routines for the Spring session. *Students must register for a full-year dance class in order to sign up for the half-year Hip Hop option.

Leaps, Turns, & Tap Technique (Grades 8-12) Wednesday 6:30-7:30. Fall Session Only
Students will focus on improving their technique and their flexibility in order to progress to advanced leaps, turns, and tap footwork.
Musical Theatre Production (Grades 6-12)
Wednesday 6:30-7:30 - 9 week Spring Session Only
Students will focus on Musical Theatre choreography and performance techniques.
9 week spring Musical Theatre session: March 17th – Recital

Contemporary - Thursday 4:30-5:30
Students will do a Modern dance-infused warm up, across the floor combinations, and choreography.
Attire
Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Black long-sleeved leotard, black tights, black ballet skirt, black ballet shoes, black tap shoes.
Boys Hip Hop: Comfortable clothes, sneakers with clean bottoms.
Acrobatics: Gymnastics or dance leotard, fitted shorts/leggings, barefoot.
2nd Grade – 5th Grade Jazz/Tap: Black jazz shoes, black flat-heeled patent leather tie-style tap shoes and appropriate dance attire (ex: leotard, tights, leggings, fitted dance shorts).
2nd Grade – 5th Grade Jazz/Tap/Ballet Combo: Black ballet shoes, black flat-heeled patent leather tie-style tap shoes, black ballet skirt, and appropriate dance attire (ex: leotard, tights, leggings, fitted dance shorts).
2nd Grade – 5th Grade Half Year Hip Hop Classes: Dancewear and black dance sneakers.
Musical Theatre: Appropriate dance wear and jazz or ballet shoes
Middle School Jazz/Tap: Black jazz shoes, black flat tie-style tap shoes, and appropriate dance attire (ex: leggings, fitted dance shorts, suntan convertible tights, fitted tank top or leotard).
Middle School Jazz/Tap/Ballet Combo: Black jazz shoes, black flat-tie style tap shoes, barefoot/foot undies for Ballet, and appropriate dance attire (ex: leggings, fitted dance shorts, suntan convertible tights, fitted tank top or leotard).
Middle School Jazz/Lyrical: Appropriate dancewear, jazz shoes, and barefoot/foot undies
