Covid-19 Policies
Dancers/Parents must attest that
- I am not experiencing any symptoms of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
- I do not believe I, or anyone in my household, has been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
- I have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non- contagious by state or local public health authorities.
- I am following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
- I hereby release and agree to hold Studio of Creative Movement, Inc. harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of Studio of Creative Movement, Inc., or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from Studio of Creative Movement, Inc. This liability waiver and release extends to the Studio of Creative Movement, Inc. together with all employees.
The Following Guidelines/Rules Have Been Put in Place at Studio of Creative Movement
- Masks are optional inside Studio of Creative Movement.
- Hand sanitizer is available for students to use throughout the Studio.
- Dancers should do their best to arrive to the Studio in their dance attire and are urged to go to the bathroom at home right before leaving for dance class.
- Dancers must come with their hair up. Staff will not be putting hair in ponytails or providing hair elastics and/or bobby pins.
- Dance shoes and reusable water bottles must be labeled.
- The only items from home allowed in the building are dance shoes and water bottles. Absolutely no food, toys, stuffed animals, etc. are permitted.
- Dancers should follow CDC guidelines for hand washing (20 seconds with warm water and soap).
- It is prohibited to provide water from the bathroom per Massachusetts State Law. Dancers are required to bring their own water. NO EXCEPTIONS
- Bathrooms and all commonly touched areas (i.e. handles, switches, railings, etc.) will be cleaned regularly.
- We will switch to a virtual format for all if the situation dictates that is best.
- Students will be dismissed from class if they are exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms.
- Please practice patience and flexibility. We will no doubt have to adjust as we go and as the situation forces us to make changes. We’re all in this together!
Attendance & Make Up Class Policies
Please call or email to alert teachers of any absences. Students exceeding 3 absences during the Winter/Spring Session may be taken out of their dances based on teacher discretion. Students who miss class are encouraged to take a comparable make up class.
Tuition & Refund Policies
Online registration requires a credit card and email address. Charges will be posted to your card after your registration has been reviewed and discounts applied if applicable. An annual $25.00 registration fee per family is due at the time of registration and is automatically charged. This fee is only charged once per dance season and is non-refundable. Fall Semester (September – December) Tuition is due at the time of registration. Winter/Spring Semester Tuition is broken up into 2 equal payments: January – February tuition will be due by January 1st. March-May tuition will be due by March 1st. There is no “pay in full for the year” option when you register. All families must pay in 3 installments. We gladly accept the following methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Venmo to @katie-anderson-0122, PayPal: paypal.me/socreativemovement, cash, or check.
The Studio of Creative Movement reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient registration and a full refund will be given. Credit will not be given for missed classes due to illness, snow days, or personal commitments. You are welcome to make up any missed class. Students withdrawing from the Studio after classes have started will receive a pro-rated tuition refund once written notice of withdrawal is sent. Withdrawal deadline: October 10th.
