Class Descriptions

Tap - Monday 6:30-7:30
Jazz - Monday 7:30-8:30
All Jazz classes incorporate vigorous warm-ups, technique work, across the floor movement, and jazz combinations to a variety of music.
Turns, Leaps, & Tap Technique
(Grades 8-12) - Fall Session Only
Wednesday 6:30-7:30
Students will progress toward advanced leaps, turns, and tap footwork.
Musical Theatre
(Grades 6-12) - Spring Session Only
Wednesday 6:30-7:30
Students will learn musical theatre choreography and enhance their performance skills.
Spring Session Only: March 11th – Recital
High School Combo - Wednesday 7:30-8:30
This class is open to all high school students and will . will explore various dance genres based on student requests.
Hip Hop - Thursday 6:30-7:30
Contemporary - Thursday 7:30-8:30
Acrobatics (Grades 6-9) - Sunday 6:00-7:00
Students participate in a cardiovascular warm up, strengthening exercises, and stretches before working on individual tumbling passes and partner tricks.
Jazz III - Wednesday 6:30-7:30
Permission is required to take this class. Spots are reserved for advanced adults who have been consistently dancing at a high level.
Adult Dance

High School/Adult Program
High School Combo is an unleveled class open to all high school students. This class will cover various dance genres based on student requests.

Attire
Teen/Adult Jazz: Appropriate dancewear, black jazz shoes, barefoot/foot undies.
Teen/Adult Tap: Appropriate dancewear, black tap shoes
Teen/Adult Contemporary: Appropriate dancewear and barefoot/foot undies.
Teen/Adult Hip Hop: Appropriate dancewear and black hip hop sneakers.
Dancewear can be purchased at any local dance store:
- Dancer’s Image in Newton
- Dance This Way in Concord
- Dancer’s Warehouse in Wellesley
Online resources include: Discountdance.com and dancewearsolutions.com.
Gym shorts, pajama bottoms, sweatpants or oversized tops are not appropriate attire for class.
Hair must always be securely pulled off the face and neck during class.
